The fallen condition of man
The fallen condition of man

There are many religions in this world. And while many do not lay claim to any religious exclusivity, that theirs is the one true religion, many other religions however lay claim to such exclusivity, Christianity being one of them. But for Christianity just as any other religion or faith institution to rightfully place such a bold claim, it must pass the test of scrutiny. And in this test, these major five questions must be adequately answered, for any religion to withstand the test of scrutiny. And these questions are.

  • Where did the universe and life come from?
  • Why are we here or what's the purpose to this life we live?
  • Where did sin, evil and pain come from and why?
  • Where does morality come from?
  • What is our destiny i.e where do we go to after we die?

These major questions plague the mind of every rationally thinking person. In these course work, we intend to look at the problem of sin. Is there any religion/worldview/faith institution that properly defines the problem of sin and its effects and is there any that provides a solution. We find no other apart from Christianity and therefore this study undertakes to look at the problem of sin from the view point of scripture.
